| Background: |
United Interactive, the media division of United Business Media plc, bought and developed software ranging from children's educational titles to adult combat games. I started out shadowing the Marketing Director and learning how to create and action targeted marketing plans. After a year, I was promoted and given my own titles to manage. |
Responsibilities
- Managing production of software titles from concept to completion
- Writing newsletter for distributors and retailers, flyers and packaging for each title and promotional materials
- Developing design concepts for marketing materials and in-store merchandise with design agencies
- Press-passing packaging at printers to ensure highest colour quality
- Overseeing press and PR
- Attending tradeshows in the UK and overseas and promoting products to international buyers
- Testing software and liaising with international sellers
